Hill, Chesson & Woody would like to extend a warm welcome to Johnson-Lee-Harnett Community Action, Inc. (JLHCA), a recent addition to our client family.  JLHCA is a private, nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide the citizens of Johnston, Lee and Harnett Counties with comprehensive housing and counseling services, including credit counseling, pre-purchase counseling, and budget and money management.  Like all community action agencies, JLHCA promotes self-sufficiency for low income individuals and encourages the use of private sector involvement in anti-poverty activities.

Every year, the JLHCA provides service to over 300 local clients, and their programs are well-noted throughout the communities they serve.  One program that has been particularly successful is Head Start, a comprehensive preschool education program that gives impoverished families with young children access to services that were previously unattainable and helps the families move toward self-sufficiency.

JLHCA is one of several community action agencies in North Carolina who we at Hill, Chesson & Woody are proud to work with in regard to developing a benefit strategy for their employees.  We look forward to helping them meet their benefit needs as they continue to grow over the coming years.
