CIGNA Reaches Agreement with Rex and UNC Hospitals

CIGNA Healthcare and the University of North Carolina Health Care System have signed a two-year contract that will allow covered members uninterrupted access to the full range of inpatient and outpatient services at all UNC Hospitals and Rex Healthcare facilities, as well as UNC and Rex physicians. The new agreement, which is effective January 1, 2010, also identifies areas in which CIGNA and UNC/Rex will work together over the length of the contract to improve care and enhance operational efficiency.
