Effective May 3, 2010, Blue Cross
and Blue Shield of NC is replacing the current dental claims
administration system for its Dental Blue® (group and
individual) and Dental Blue® Select products with a new system
that will provide additional flexibility and efficiency.
As a result, members and group administrators will
need to re-register online at www.bcbsnc-dental.com to use the new
system.
In order to re-register, group
administrators will need to provide their first and last name,
their email address, and their group name. Members and
dependents will need to provide their first and last name,
date of birth, and the subscriber’s Social Security number
(dependents may enter “0000000000” if the subscriber’s SSN is
unavailable). For more detailed instructions on the
registration process, there are help pages that are easily
accessible from the New User Registration page of the site, or
you can access illustrations from this registration overview.
The new online dental claim system
will more effectively assist members in downloading and
printing EOBs, checking claim status, accessing benefit
information, and receive email notification when claims are
processed. In addition, group administrators will be
able to download forms and view employee rosters easier than
before.
