

		UnitedHealthcare to Update Premium Physician Designations April 1 On April 1, 2009, UnitedHealthcare will update the status of all network physicians in its UnitedHealth Premium® designation program and post the updated designations online at myuhc.com. The update will reflect UHC’s recent annual evaluation of network physicians in 20 specialties to ensure they meet the quality and/or cost efficiency guidelines established by the designation program. Criteria for the designation program is developed using national evidence-based quality and cost-efficiency standards. A doctor who meets the quality criteria receives one star, and a doctor who meets both quality and cost efficiency criteria receives two stars.
