

		BCBSNC Mailing Copayment Discount Cards to LIPITOR® Users Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC is mailing special copayment reduction cards to fully-insured group members that use LIPITOR® for treatment of high cholesterol. Supplied by Pfizer, this copayment card will allow the members to save up to $15 each time they refill their prescription of LIPITOR® for each remaining month of 2009. The amount of the discount will depend upon the member’s copayment for the drug. If the copayment is less than $35, the discount will be $10 or the amount of the copayment, whichever is less. If the copayment is $35 or more, then the discount will be $15. The discount cards must be activated before they can be used to discount the purchase of the refilled prescription. Once the card is activated, the member must give it to the pharmacist to process at the time of purchase. This promotion is intended to help LIPITOR users maintain their prescribed medication regimen, and should not be considered an endorsement of this particular medication.
