Statewide employer input gained from Hill, Chesson Woody’s 2011 North Carolina Trends in Healthcare Strategies Survey has revealed that containing medical costs is not among the top three concerns organizations are considering within the next 18 months.

Business executives were asked to rank 18 varying statements of concern across six facets of any well-managed employee benefits plan including: strategy, communications, benefits administration, medical management, compliance, and underwriting and risk management. Survey participants were also asked to rate their organizations on whether they saw themselves as low, medium or high performing within the next year and a half, as well as providing information on their industry and employee size.
The survey, which was deployed and analyzed in conjunction with HCW’s human resources partner CAI, asked business executives if they viewed their companies as growing with regard to profitability, revenue, capital investments and other factors.
