DURHAM, N.C., January 2019 – The Triangle Business Journal has recognized Gallagher’s Dr. Jenny G. Love as a recipient of its 2019 Healthcare Heroes Award.
Dr. Love is Health Management Director for Gallagher’s Southeast region employee benefit and retirement services division. She was nominated in the “Support Services Executive/Organization” category, which honors individuals for their role in improving the care in healthcare. Dr. Love was the first physician appointed by Gallagher to provide expertise in population health management.
The Journal began its Health Care Heroes Awards program in 2001 to honor Triangle individuals and organizations for putting innovation and compassion to work to improve the human condition. In total, 22 individuals and one organization were acknowledged for their exceptional work this year.
“Dr. Love’s expertise in the connections between medical and pharmacy costs, health conditions, ongoing and future risk, and workforce engagement has been an asset that has set our company apart from our competition,” says Gallagher Area President, Todd Yates.
“I greatly appreciate the recognition from the Triangle Business Journal,” said Dr. Love. “Anyone can look at a spread sheet and see that numbers are different between column A and column B—but I want employers to understand what the human condition behind those columns is, what that person or group may be experiencing from a physical or emotional level related to their health. To me, this award recognizes the importance of population health management.”
The 2019 Healthcare Heroes award winners will be recognized at the Healthcare Heroes evening reception on March 14 at the Umstead Spa & Hotel.
