Benefits Consulting Firm Hosts Educational Event To Inform Businesses About The Effects Of The Affordable Care Act On Workplace Wellness Programs

GREENVILLE, N.C., June 17, 2014 – Hill, Chesson & Woody, a locally owned and operated employee benefits firm that proactively aligns solutions to the visions of its clients, will host a free educational luncheon at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 26 at The Hilton Greenville, located at 207 SW Greenville Blvd. This program is the second in HCW’s three-part “Get Smarter” series in Greenville, which aims to help prepare North Carolina employers for the impacts of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) on their benefit plans.

Many employers have been left with questions around the new guidelines for workplace wellness programs. This seminar will cover who is affected by the new ACA guidelines, the types of wellness programs employers are permitted to offer their employees, and the expected outcomes for improving participants’ health, preventing disease and demonstrating ROI.

This free seminar is accredited by the HR Certification Institute for one general credit hour toward PHR, SPHR and GPHR recertification. Registration and lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m., with the presentation following. For more information or to register, visit http://info.hcw-events.com/GetSmarterGreenville2.

“We’re excited to offer our ‘Get Smarter’ series to employers in the Greenville market,” said Todd Yates, HCW managing partner. “This particular program will shed light on the new requirements of workplace wellness programs as the ACA comes into full effect. We hope this series has helped to better inform and prepare employers of the changing landscape brought on by healthcare reform.”
