DURHAM, N.C., February 2018 – Hill, Chesson & Woody (HCW), a division of Gallagher Benefits Services, Inc., has partnered with a composting service, CompostNow, to start composting in their Durham location.
Since 2010, CompostNow offers composting services to private homes, offices, events, and restaurants in various North Carolina location.
With the help of CompostNow, Hill, Chesson & Woody employees will now turn their biodegradable waste from the daily salad and coffee bar into soil. According to CompostNow, an average office diverts over 1,000 lbs of compostables from the landfill annually. This soil will be donated to local community gardens throughout the Triangle area.
