Benefits Consulting And Staffing Firms Come Together To Educate Employers On Trending Topics Impacting Employers Today

DOBSON, N.C., October 5, 2015 – Hill, Chesson & Woody (HCW), a local benefits and consulting firm, will host a free educational seminar in conjunction with Workforce Unlimited and Surry County Human Resource Association on Wednesday, October 14th, at Surry Community College, located at 630 S Main St. This program, a part of HCW’s Employee Benefits Ready educational series, will focus on fully insured health plans and strategic planning.

The first portion of the seminar will outline how the healthcare environment is changing under the Affordable Care Act and, in turn, how this impacts fully insured group health plans. Employers who have traditionally financed their health plans on a fully insured platform may now have to look at alternative options as their pricing continues to rise. Attendees will leave with a knowledge of this marketplace shift and the resulting products and solutions.

The second half of the seminar will provide an understanding of how executive management and human resources can collaborate to strategically plan and achieve organizational goals. We will review the basic human resources knowledge, and share how these duties can be approached in a strategic way to produce results.

This free seminar is accredited by the HR Certification Institute for 2.00 general credit hour toward PHR, SPHR and GPHR recertification.
