Mission Health System Ends Contract With BCBSNC

Effective October 5, 2017, Mission Health System, which includes facilities and provider practices in Western North Carolina communities, will no longer be part of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC) network.

BCBSNC has created www.missionhealthfacts.com to share more information about the change. Additionally, letters have been mailed to members who have visited a Mission Health facility in the past 12 months or live in the counties where these facilities are located.

On July 20, Park Ridge Health, also operating in Western NC, announced the intention to offer support to BCBSNC members seeking in-network care. Details on the available in-network facilities can be found in the Park Ridge Health and BCBSNC joint press release. Members can also find in-network facilities by visiting www.bcbsnc.com.
