RelyMD to Offer Advance Practice Providers to Corporate Clients

January 9, 2018

RelyMD has recently changed their service model to incorporate Advanced Practice Providers, also known as Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners effective January 2018. These providers work alongside the physicians every day in their brick and mortar emergency departments and are highly-skilled at helping patients with their urgent care needs.

This change is a result of increasing call volume and complexity, as RelyMD has entered new markets to provide telemedicine services such as skilled nursing facilities and “on-scene” paramedic or EMS services.

RelyMD remains committed to providing top-notch customer service and the highest quality of medical care for every customer. Patient satisfaction rates and wait times will be closely monitored to ensure that the member experience and medical care remain at the highest levels of quality. Callers will have the choice to request a physician at the beginning of each encounter.

The cost for each consultation for the member will remain unchanged. RelyMD is a local network of board-certified licensed Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers who can diagnose (some) illnesses, recommend treatment and prescribe medications when appropriate via video or phone app.

EMPLOYEE COMMUNICATION

Below is a simplified message you can use to communicate this change with your employees.

RelyMD to Offer Advance Practice Providers

We wanted to make you aware of a change in RelyMD’s service mode. They will begin incorporating Advanced Practice Providers (APP), also known as Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners starting in January 2018.  These providers work alongside the physicians every day in their brick and mortar emergency departments and are highly-skilled at helping patients with their urgent care needs.

RelyMD will hand-select and slowly phase in their most experienced APP's because they remain committed to providing you with top-notch customer service and the highest quality of medical care. Patient satisfaction rates and wait times will be closely monitored to ensure that your experience and medical care remain at the highest levels of quality.

You can still talk to a highly skilled provider anytime 24/7/365.  During the first consultation, you will need to share current medical information with the provider, including current medications and health conditions.  If you would rather speak with a physician instead of an APP, you will be offered that option at the beginning of each encounter.

The cost for each consultation will remain unchanged. RelyMD is a local network of board-certified licensed Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers who can diagnose (some) illnesses, recommend treatment and prescribe medications when appropriate via video or phone app.
