DURHAM, N.C., Nov. 20, 2013 – Hill, Chesson & Woody (HCW), a health and welfare benefits brokerage and consulting firm that designs, manages and implements employee benefit programs, has announced the launch of the 9th annual 2013/2014 Healthcare Benefits & Costs Survey. The benchmark survey, which HCW is conducting in partnership with HR management firm CAI, provides important information employers to need to manage their healthcare plans by comparing employers’ current healthcare costs to other companies in the marketplace. Organizations from across the state are encouraged to participate. The survey will be conducted from Monday, Nov. 11 through Thursday, Dec. 12.

This benchmark survey is the only state-specific survey that provides healthcare cost-related data about the marketplace. The findings will allow employers to compare their premium costs, health plan designs and cost-sharing arrangements to those of their competitors. For more information, visit CAI's website.

“We are excited to partner with CAI for the 9th annual N.C. Healthcare Benefits Costs Survey,” said Todd Yates, HCW managing partner. “This one-of-a-kind survey allows employers throughout North Carolina to receive and analyze data that can be used as a benchmark for comparing their healthcare costs to the marketplace. Given that these costs are anticipated to increase over the next few years, the results can help businesses across the state find savings opportunities by seeing what others are doing.”

“HCW’s input in conducting this survey helps us immensely in compiling useful information that will enable employers to make more informed decisions when considering healthcare options for their organizations,” said Bruce Clarke, president and CEO of CAI. “As the economy continues to improve in our state, it is crucial that employers implement competitive healthcare options to attract and retain top talent, and this survey will help provide them with guidance to do just that.”
