Local Benefits And Consulting Firm Names Brandon Byars and Shawn Shaffer Business Development Associates

DURHAM, N.C., January 12, 2016 – Hill, Chesson & Woody (HCW), an independent benefits and consulting firm, has announced the hiring of Brandon Byars and Shawn Shaffer as business development associates. In this role, they identify and develop relationships with potential clients. They support and work with HCW’s marketing and sales teams to implement business development initiatives, as well as contribute to the growth of HCW by engaging with prospective clients in a multitude of ways, whether it be by phone, email or in-person.

Often the first point of contact for those unfamiliar with HCW, Byars and Shaffer’s enthusiastic and warm attitudes ensure prospective clients are in good hands.

Byars graduated from North Carolina State University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in business with a concentration in marketing. He comes to HCW after working for the past two years at North Carolina Farm Bureau Insurance as a claims adjuster.

Shawn comes to HCW after graduating from William Peace University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in business administration.

“My previous experience in the insurance industry piqued my interest in healthcare and benefits,” said Byars. “When I found out HCW was hiring, I immediately applied.
