UnitedHealthcare (UHC) has released their July 1 Prescription Drug Lists (PDLs) update. The update applies to all UHC integrated commercial business. (It does not apply to direct commercial business through OptumRx without UHC medical coverage.)
UHC has provided two on-demand presentations of their pharmacy benefit strategies for July 1, 2017. The presentations, linked below, detail all changes taking effect.
During the months of March & April, UHC will be reaching out directly to offer a series of educational items: webcasts, updated PDL reports and detailed Connections newsletters.
During the months of May & June, UHC will reach out directly to impacted members. They will provide notification letters as well as updated PDL reports and updated prescription drug lists.

UnitedHealthcare Pharmacy Updates
UnitedHealthcare will be making some changes to their Prescription Drug List (PDL) effective July 1, 2017. Impacted members will receive a notification letter from UHC 30-60 days prior to July 1. UHC will also provide a PDL Summary and a full updated Prescription Drug List.
